Whats the best way to burn fat and get abs?
Ok, so im not like fat or anything. I just wanna be toned on my stomach and have abs. Whats the best way to do that. Im 14 and 5’10 and i weigh about 126. I use to be really active but now all i do is softball so im not working out as much. And i eat pretty unhealthy food to be honest. So can any help?

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.
Cut sugar and saturated fats, lift weights daily
Thanks for the thumb down guys… Let’s see… Best answer ratios 0%, 0%, 0%, 11%, 20% compared to a 48% that was a former top contributor in this section before getting sick of people like you… Gee I wonder whose advice is correct. She asked for the best way to lose fat, not a shake weight commercial or patronizing advice on how to spend your teenage years.
Since you play softball try to run twice a week and that will help you get rid of that stubborn lower stomach fat and also if you want an ab workout that works really fast I recommend P90x Ab ripper there is just the ab ripper on youtube and you can find it there and its only 15 minutes and works like a charm and trust me you will feel the burn in your abs!
126 is a healthy weight for 5’10 but try just doing sit-ups on your spare time, say during a commercial break when ur watching tv, it doesn’t take too long to burn off the stomach fat. Try to eat less carbs, and lean meat if you like to eat meat.
You’re just 14, so I wouldn’t do too much, spend your time having fun not working out. I would suggest just eating healthier, junk food goes straight to your abdominal (abs) area, so eat healthier food, drink water instead of shakes and soda. You’re doing softball which is some activity, more than some people so you’ll see a healthier flatter stomach in no time.
I’d say at your age if you’re eating healthy and you’re mildly active, then you’ll have no problems staying healthy… I wouldn’t offer advice on you getting rock solid toned abs, because I don’t want to sound patronizing but you’re only 14, you have much better things to do than sit ups or stomach crunches
Your BMI is 18.1 that indicates you are under weight, try gaining a few pound to get in the healthy range 20-25
well one the best things you can do is cut out simple sugars from your diet for the time being as they will completely defeat ANY fat burning that you want to achieve – fruit, all forms of milk as it contains lactose, and ALL the usual junk food with sugar /saturated fat / trans fat /refined carbs etc -
then exercise on an empty stomach OR if you feel hungry just eat an ALL protein meal so that you do not get an insulin release which stops fat burning immediately – if you eat a high carb breakfast and then go for a jog or whatever its totally pointless as your storage fat will be ignored and carbs will be used for energy -
by just drinking water or eating a pure protein meal however – FAT will be used for fuel…
The best way is to do cardio. Recently, interval training is what exercise experts recommend. it’s an alternate of strong effort and light jogs.
But the first thing is to change your eating habit of not eating healthy food. You’re still young develop your abs in 2 years. Just eat healthy and continue to be active.
