I’m trying to flatten out my stomach to hopefully help my self-body image. I’ve been doing sit-ups and crunches, but I’m not satisfied with the results I’ve been getting. What other exercises (abs related) can I add in?
Also, I have been doing a great deal of cardio (thank you marching band and dog walking!)

I have a six pack and i’ve been doing like a million sit ups a day but for the life of me i can’t get an eight pack. Am i doing something wrong???

Well, I am 14 and I hit a golf ball 250 and I know I am strong, but I am sick of having a little flub everywhere. I have a work out every Monday, every night i do 50 push ups, 50 crunches with leg ups, and 50 leg lifts on my stomach for each leg. I’m very healthy, I exercise everyday. I eat healthy, but I’m pretty skinny. I do around as many sit ups as i can do once everyday. Which is aound 60 down to 50. I am 120lbs, 5′7, and 15. Will i see the abs or not? I just want an answer. I dont need a routine workout. I’ve been hearing all over that sit ups are pointless? Is this true? If yes, are there any muscle building ab exercises that will give results?

I want to know how to get a really fast six-pack and how many sit-ups will i have to do.I already have a 2-pack.Also, I’m 11 years old.

whenever i do sit ups my neck hurts. i want to know some exercises with no machines neccessary and doesn’t strain my neck.

How often, and how many sit ups do I need to do to get a six pack, and how long time will it take if I start today?

I am going to attempt to get a six pack.( I am 13 nearly 14)
I have already started and this is what I am doing. the what I plan to do.

Doing already -

20 – 30 minutes Weights, crunches and sit-ups (every other day)

40 minutes walking / 20 minutes cycling (5 days a week)

Eating 2 meals a day (That is convenient to me, not part of a diet plan)

AS WELL AS… (In the Week) –

2 Hours sports

What I plan to do -

45 – 60 Minutes Weights, crunches, sit ups, and chin ups (every other day)

40 minutes walking / 20 minutes cycling (5 days a week)

2 Medium Meals, High in protein, low in fat (every day)

AS WELL AS (In the week) –

2 Hours sports

1 – 2 Hours swimming

1 Hour running

My Question is….
Do you think this is enough? What else should I do?
Can you recommend any meals high in protein?
Any Advice and Tips are welcome?

By the way, I am 5" (I know short for my age but whatever) and 6 Stone 10, and only have a bit of fat on my stomach.
I can feel the hard muscle underneath when I tense. But how do i get that visible? and more defined

I have middleing abs,Im 13,5ft 8in,109lbs,I lost 6lbs with cardio.I did push ups for 3months and my arms did get bigger.Now my arms are skinny,no one told me jogging 5miles burned fat and muscle.Now I just started sprinting combined with jog,will sprinting help me maintain my abs and prevent burning muscle as well?

I’ve been working out for a while now and my arms are getting noticeably bigger and I’m getting pecs :) …. but I seem to be having trouble with my abs. I’m started doing sit ups but i heard from my friend that you NEED a diet if you want six packs. Is that true? I’m not overweight, If anything i need to GAIN weight..

I do 500 push ups, 500 sit ups, 150 pull ups, and run a mile every single day of the week. I also weight lift, i can bench 150, curl 90, and backarm 70 for max. i have been working out everyday of the week for two years, i also eat and drink really well, what is going on

i’m 12 years old i do 150 sits ups and 150 crunches every day, i’m thin, i eat very healthy i eat mostly meat, chicken, fish and eggs i don’t eat candy or things with lots of sugar, i run a lot and play soccer in how much time can i get a six pack abs ?
i can see my six pack abs when i’m doing crunches and sit ups why is it cause i’m about to get a six pack abs ?

i’ve just joined a gym and as part of my program i do 5 sets of 20 crunches/sit ups….i dont have much flab round my middle but years of drinking lager has made my belly protrude slightly…any tips for accelerating the process??and do you ladies love a 6 pack??i aint vane i just want more sex!!!at least i’m honest!

I run a few miles/km each morning and do lots of other sports. I am wondering what is the most effective or healthiest time for me to do my Ab exercises. I only try to do about 100 sit-ups on the machine but I am looking for consistency and structure in my routine.

Before running in the morning, after, at night, before dinner, after dinner, just before bed? What do I need to know?

I am 15 and way 120 lbs. I’m definatley not over wieght. I had a six pack for a while last year, but it eventually went away. I have been doing sit ups and push ups daily. I have gained quite a bit of upper body strength, but my six pack hasn’t come back yet.
Any suggestions?

Right now i am doing push ups, sit ups, crunches, leg raises ETC. Is there a even better exercise than most? or will what i am doing give me ripped abs??\

Today I did 500 hundred abdominal exercises divided into:
300 sit ups
200 leg raises

My doubt is if 500 abdominal exercises daily are enough for that area. I don’t feel any sore since I’ve been doing these exercises for 7 months or so (during a weight loss process). I can go for more than that ,but I also run 1 hour daily ,do a little weight lifting only for biceps, and push ups. Even if I don’t feel any sore I feel somewhat tired. Should I keep doing that or should I go for around 1000 (which I’ve done before) and most important: Are 500 enough?

i haven’t developed a good sexy 6 pack yet. People say doing sit ups would be an good idea, but how many sit ups? 100-150 a day or something? Btw my mom won’t let me go to gym anymore, because she thinks im going to to kill my self one day x_x So no i have to train at home :( any good tips at home?

Hey fitness people! Does anyone have some examples of abdominal exercises appropriate for people who are obese? Many of the ab exercises I see are a challenge because of the paunch I already have.

I often lay on the floor and lift my feet, but the sit ups are hard as my fat gut gets in the way.

I’d love your ideas!

I do get stomach cramps when I do sit-ups, but I think its from my muscles being torn. I had 2 c-sections, and I just cant seem to get my body back. I also can be very impatient sometimes. I just want it to go away! I was even thinking tummy tuck, what do ya think?

Whenever i do crunches my back starts hurting a lot (about after 20 crunches) way before i start have a good workout. When i do transverses ab exercises my back seems fine, also leg lifts. I used to do a lot of sit ups. My back usually is fine its just when i do abdominal exercises.

Every time I do crunches, sit-ups, etc.. it puts a strain on my neck. Then I really dont look forward to doing them. I also usually busy so its hard to do ab workouts. So how can I do an ab workout without hurting my neck and try to fit it in my schedule?

Do pull ups help abs? if so i put both hands on the bar, left hand on one and right on another and pull my body up.

Out of my busy diet could i include pull ups on my way to 6 pack?

Ok so im getting ready for summer..that is coming VERY quickly…and wanted to lose my stomach fat…im already doing 200 sit-ups every night but i wanted to know if there is anything that i can do to help me lose fat from that area faster..if anybody has any suggestions i would really appreciate it..Thank you SO much!
