How do you get and maintain abs?

Please don’t recommend sit ups or crunches, they don’t really work most ab muscles as far as I know. I have been doing leg raises for the last couple of months which are supposed to be great for getting abs, but I’m not seeing any progress. Any advice?

Is it possible to get abs on 1200 calorie diet? & what about easing out of the diet?

Is it possible for me to get abs on 1200 calorie diet?
I didn’t THINK so because it isn’t enough calories to feed my muscles like that.

Can you get six pack abs with a minor pectus excavatum?

I have pectus excavatum and its minor but ive been doing ab exercises for a while now and i have a 4 pack not a six pack. Ok so it’s been a long *** time now!

I’ve lost 25 pounds in a year of time, and I started noticing my abs started to form into packs. Right now when I take off my shirt and go like 5 feet from the mirror, I can see 4 packs. I’m sure I have 6 already, because I’m seeing the mini top 2 starting to show, I can feel all 6 of them except the mini top 2 is not yet popping out.

My question is, would I be able to get visible 6 packs by june? When I pull down my fat, it’s ripped, you can see 6 pack of real muscles, it’s amazing except I have a thin layer of fat to go.

I’m 140 pounds and i’m 5”6′. I’m 13, and for all of the people who say 13 year olds don’t need 6 packs or no one cares about it or we can’t get them, get off my nuts.

p.s I do at least 300 or more ab workouts daily, 50 situps, 40 crunches leg flat, 40 leg bent, 40 leg in the air, then repeat the except leg lifts (upper and lower abs).

im a teen, im not fat but im not skinny either (im more of an in-between). i want to get abs (yeah, what guy doesnt lol) i wanna look good and feel good so im serious of getting lean.

1) for my arms, i cant really do push-ups so are there any specific workouts that build arm muscle gradually over time (i broke my shoulder a year ago so i dont want to over-exert my arms)

2) how can i build leg muscle (im into soccer so i want to increase the power of my kicks)

3) what kinds of foods should i avoid and what can i eat that will crave my hunger and give me energy (and i can easily find in a supermarket)

4) how should i space out my workout routines (for example 1 hour aerobic, one day then an hour or 2 of anaerobic exercises the next or 2 days workout) just give me an idea of how i should workout properly

5) how can i start working out ( i don’t want to start out too hard. i want to be able to get into it gradually and then challenge myself)

6) for my ab muscles, what can i do that will burn fat and what workout routines can i follow

7) how can i stay motivated with my workout routines everyday?

To get washboard abs, do I do lots of reps or do less reps with weights?

I’m well aware that Cario and Diet are the most important things when it comes to getting washboard abs. But what about the ab exercises? I know it’s useless (and dangerous) to work them every day. Also I want to express that i don’t want bigger ab muscles, I want them to show. So should I do lots of reps when I work them, or do I do less reps but crank up the weight when doing them? Thanks!

lowest two muscles to show in my 6 pack abs?

i’m really badly self concious because i know im only a step away from getting a nice six pack.
When i stand in the mirror i can see 4 six pack muscles clearly but the bottom two only faint, but when i push the layer of loose skin (not sure if fat cos quite tight) down it reveals clear muscle. does anyone know how i can get rid of the layer of stuff which i need to hold down to get the last 2 abs to show??? plz help thanks so much :D

im 16 years old male 5ft10 and ive recently ( 6-8 months im not sure) changed my lifestyle. i havnt had any junk and have been dieting and excercising religously and have cut my weight from 184 to 142 :) but i never did my ab muscles while i have worked the rest of my body very hard. any suggestions for beginner ab workouts and then more advance ones once i get into it? and also if i stick to it how long until i can see a faint outline of my abs cuz im looking forward to it :D

I’m a male. I want to get abs. Now there is a huge problem- I have been doing every exercise you see on youtube videos, and I have been doing around 50 reps a day, sometimes up to 100, working my ass off to get abs and never get any results. My diet is exactly as it should be, and I can get any other muscles on my body built anytime I want successfully Abdominals are the only muscles ive never been able to build. This is very very irritating beccause theres no reason for it at all. Whats going on?

No matter how hard I try, I cannot manage to do the "vaccum" thing, where you suck in your belly and do crunches. thats the only thing I cannot do because as soon as I begin to curl up my belly will inflate again, even if I exhale all the air and press as hard as I can to where my entire body turns red and I begin trembling all over. Should you work your abs everyday or should you give them a break?

When I use to work out with a personal trainer he worked my abs everyday. He stated that working your abs everyday broke those muscles down and then you work your abs every other day once you mid section starts to get smaller in size.

I am 17 5′6 weight about 130 pounds… I have been doing some workout lately and have seen results. My chest has gotten developed biceps and triceps are getting cut as well.
