six pack??!!?
ok, im a girl and i just want like a small six pack, but not like a guy one. less defined than a guy one but still a six pack. i hav a pretty skinny stomach to start with, not wicked skinny but not big. how many situps per day should i do to get a six pack ASAP!?
i like doing a lot of situps everyday, so what would be good for a day if i wanted is rly rly rly soon??

do like 100 crunches every day. Have a well balanced diet. Exercise to burn the excess stomach fat. You should have it in 2 months.
Do ab exercises will not give you a six pack. You have to lower your body fat % through diet and exercises to do that. Instead of doing sit-ups do curnches because they put less strain on your back. Crunches should be done SLOWLY. At most you should do them every other day. Do not set a certian amount of reps ahead of time. Just do 3 sets of rep till failure(as many as you can).
well instead of situps, also try laying down and bringing your legs up and when you bring them back down hold em there for a couple of seconds and go back up. do this like 15 times in sets of 3
buy a swiss fitness ball, do crunches on it, do bicycle crunches, and leg lifts, drink protein.
dont overwork yourself, and be sure to try oblique exercises as well to add the correct shape
If you want to have a sixpack then doing one hundred crunches a day is not necessarily the right way to go. It can be effective but is not the most efficient nor the most effective ay to work your abs. Try doing leg raises(lie down and rasie legs and pelvis off floor) contract your abs at the top. Also try doing crunches on the floor but go slowly and contract your abs, tighten them. If you have a swiss ball then crunches are more effective becasue they do not restrict your range of motion like floor crunches. floor crunches are still very god but a swiss ball is better for quicker results. Also try to jog or run to burn excess fat and decrease your caloric intake only slightly since you are not that big to start with. Remember a proper diet is most important and try to drink 1.5 to 2 liters of water per day. 8-9 cups of water. Sample workout:
Monday-wednesday-friday
3 sets of 25 repscrunches(swiss ball option)
3 sets of 25 repsleg raises
2 sets of 15reps side bends
tuesday-thursday: run 20 mins
rest saturday and sunday.
Build up to appropiate reps if too difficult
1) Have a well balanced diet
Remember a sixpack isn’t going to just come over night you have to work on it, i got mine after following these tips after about 3 weeks.
2) Drink lots of water .. if possible around 1 litre a day (2 pints)
3) Take up a sport if you want to keep the six pack, such as netball or volleyball etc.
4) Skip – its the best way to loose weight and its easy.. you can buy a skipping rope cheap and anyone can learn to skip.
5) Situps are bad for your back unless you know how to do them properly, its best just to follow the other points i have given.
6) If you are going to do situps, make sure that you don’t lean all the way up only partially and make sure that your back doesn’t touch the floor, this will make sure that you don’t do damage to your back and it will make your abs work their hardest, and also don’t just go up and down, lean to one side or the other to get abs on both sides of your stomach.
7) If you are going to do situps start at about 10 in the morning and 20 at night then go onto around 20 in the morning and 30 at night and then keep building at increasing by 10 every time that you feel like to can do more.
Hope this helps
Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers. Its from a workout that also contains a section for females and males which is excellent.
Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.
After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating.
This will give you one of the best ab workouts you’ve ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises. You’ll see what I
mean after you try it!
Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.
There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.stayprotected.com that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent.
It helped me greatly.
Get the book – Truth about Six Pack Abs at my site. There is a free book as well.
