Should you work your abs everyday or should you give them a break?
When I use to work out with a personal trainer he worked my abs everyday. He stated that working your abs everyday broke those muscles down and then you work your abs every other day once you mid section starts to get smaller in size.

The only statement that the trainer said that had any truth is ….working the abs everyday will break down the muscle…..That is true for any muscle. It needs time to heal…If you have broken down and torn muscle fibers, they are not going to perform well. The need to heal…..>
Do ab work 3 times a week. That is plenty. And if you are really sore, give them another day off…….>
i think you should work on your abs everyday. but with a mild exercise and not something that will strain you so much. maybe you could work on them everyday except sunday, which you will give them a rest.
