I'm 5'10, 21 years old, and got up to 290lbs.. Is it possible to get strong showing abs once I drop weight?

I’m down to 240lbs now and sticking strong to my diet and exercising as much as I can. Doing alotof push ups, sit ups, other core excercises, and jogging and walking often… I’m just wondering if I can have strong abs that show as I drop my body fat without requiring surgery like tummy tucks or liposuction…. I’m doing this more to behealthy but come on we all know having a 6 pack is something everyone wants lol.. All the help and advicee would definentyl be appreciated.. Thak you

    Great job on losing weight and getting fit. Strength training is so important. Although you are toning muscles, you cannot "spot tone" any particular area of your body. As long as there is body fat, it will be noticeable on the surface. In other words, the strong muscles you are building are kind of buried under the body fat.

    Keep up the good work, eat a healthy balanced diet, and continue to work out and strength train. You will see changes, even if it’s not that perfect model’s body!

    Im not a professional or anything, but of course you can get strong abs! First you must focus on loosing weight, or else you wont be able to see your abs (because there will be a layer of fat on top). After you’ve lost the weight you desire, then you can start building up :) Its great that you’ve decided to take care of yourself :) You should watch some ‘My transformation’ videos on Youtube, they are very encouraging! Good luck!
