How long would it take for me to get 6 pack abs?

Hello.. well I’m 13 years old, almost 14 and I’m trying to get 6pack abs. I’m about 5’5 tall and I weigh 115 lbs.

I’ve been doing some crunches and cycling. I do 10 sets of 50 crunches using the Ab Rocket everyday and about 30-45 min cycling 4 times a week.

your pretty much going about it the wrong way. getting a 6 pack is basicly all about getting as little body fat on your body as possible. it varies from person to person but your only 13 so idk how much body weight percentage you have to get down to. normally it’s 10-12 to see it and below 7 for it to REALLY pop out. but i recommend going to bodybuilding.com and look up ab workouts and doing the hiit cardio. what that is, is a series of interval sprints. where you warm up and then sprint/run for 1 minute and then jog at a slower tempo for 2 minutes and then spring/run for another minute and then jog at a slower tempo for 2 minutes and then repeat that 1 more time and cooldown. that is the best cardio out there right now that will speed up your metabolism to burn away fat/calories. again i’d recommend you go to http://bodybuilding.com/fun/index.html for a good workout program. or go to http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/abs.html and do arnel’s workout. he has another fitness page with a couple different workouts but that’s the one that got him ripped. also don’t do tons and tons of crunches or sit ups. if you were to bench press or do bicep curls do you do use 15 pounds and do it 50 times? no you do a lot of weight but only 8-15 times depending on the workout. so in reality you should put weights in your hands or hold a weight behind ur head and do crunches even tho they are probably one of the least effective excersizes you can do.

give it a few weeks. Focus more on your upper body its chest and biceps that matter soon. im 16, and started working out at 14 and now im much above average for teenage wieghtlifiting. Get involved in a gym. There is no such thing as stunting your growth begining at 14 its very rare and there are few exercises that do that. look it up. I strongly suggest you get enrolled in one. Start supplements in the next year or two. research. message me if your interested in this type of thing. i’ll gladly help anyone with interest in teenage bodybuilding as im involved it it.

I’m competing next year in a few NPC figure competitions. I can tell you getting great abs is 80% diet and 20% workout, lowering your body fat% as well. You need to find out what your bf% is and fix your diet. Make sure your water intake is sufficient and your protein to carb ratio is on point.

Also no more fast food, soda or just junk in general.
