How long will it take me to get defined abs with this workout plan?

I’m 15 years old and am 10 pounds overweight and 6′ tall exactly.
If I do 30 crunches an hour every day how long will it take me to get abs. I don’t really care about getting as far as a six pack but a two pack would be cool. Tips and advice would be great. Thanks.

your not going to get abs doing crunches with no weights. the only way to build bigger muscles on any part of the body is to up the weight. if your going to do crunches then use a book and put it on your chest with your arms folded over it. after doing those for a while, get a heavier book. but you don’t need to do them every hour, you wont get any results by over doing it. best time to do crunches is first thing in the morning. do 3 sets till fail. meaning try to do as many as you possibly can until you can’t do them anymore. then wait for the pain to go away and try it again. don’t worry about keeping count. if you did them right you should be sore for about a day or two. after your abs are no longer sore than do it again with more weight. never ever work on sore muscles, you’ll only break them down even more and they wont have the chance to build up.

just doing crunches isn’t going to help. now say if you ran like a few miles a week and did crunches you have an easier bet of accomplishing your goal and much much much quicker (:

Abs are made in the kitchen. Diet. People have abs because they are lean. They have low body fat %. Combining this with a core workout can get you defined abs.

You have to work out your upper and lower abs along with obliques, and lower back. You can’t neglect the other muscle areas and focus on just the abs. Doing crunches will only do so much.
