How do I get great abs as fast as possible?
Okay, so I’m 14 and I really want 6 pack abs (or close) as fast as I can get ‘em. I’m not overweight but not super skinny and I want to feel as comfy as possible in a bikini this summer. I’ve been doing 200 crunches and 50 leg-lifts every afternoon for the past 3 days and can see my abs taking shape slightly but I want to know if there’s anything I can do to speed this up. Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you have been doing lots of crunches lately and in the past you probably have great abs already!! What you are doing is called target training but it really wont give you the abs you want to see as fast as you could by different training..
Your ab muscles are concealed under a layer of body fat be it thin or heavy…you want to get that body fat off the abs which is one of the first places it collects and the last places it leaves.
You must cut out sugars in your diet and carbs or starches that turn into sugars….those sugars get stored as fat…
You can keep doing your crunches for exercise but better would be lots of fast walking or jogging. Hit the track at your school or walk up and down the bleachers.. You will be burning fat right of your great abs so they can be seen.
u should get healthy too. drink a smoothie, eat more vegetables, and fruit, eat peanuts(peanuts contains the proteins of meats if u dont like meat)
pushups?
don;t know
Well, the fastest way is to break all the mirrors in your house.
But if you want real results, my girlfriend is in a dance class and they do this thing where they lie on their sides, and tense only their abs and curl into a fetal position, letting their limbs go dead-weight. Once curled, they uncurl tensing all their muscles and go back to their sides, balanced straight, then relax and repeat a bunch of times.
Good luck!

The best exercise is running & walking.
your doing great! im the same way! im also 14 and im not the skinniest person either. i do 500 crunches a day (not in a row) and i eat healthy. it helps! good luck, i know your bikini will look GREAT on you this summer!
The most important factor in if you will have abs or not is your percent body fat. If its too high, you will not be able to see your abs. So you can work your abs all you want, if your percent body fat is too high, you will not see the result of your hard work. The abs are there, but covered in fat. Thats why people that are slim have a natural six pack, even if they dont do sit-ups. Im 5′9 145lbs, with an athletic build and have always had a six pack and I never do any ab exercises.
I also know about personal training and can help suggest some exerises for you to get the results you want. You can email me if you want (or anyone else) travis94303@yahoo.com
First of all, do not do ANY exercise everyday. Your muscles need time to heal. You can also overdo your abs and they can end up looking bulkier.
Also remember that there is no "quick fix". Builing a six pack takes time- and dedication. Be sure to limit your fat intake as well. Nothing is going to happen in 3 days. Pace yourself and you will get there…but it does take time.
I would recommend getting a yoga ball. They are GREAT for working your abs-bottom and top. They actually help "speed up" the process, but don’t use it everyday. Give your muscles atleast a day to recover.
First of all, you are doing too much. I understand that you want to get fab abs but you do not want to make yourself sick or bulk up. I have defined abs, I work out about four times a week. I drink alot of water. I do flutter kicks for about ten minutes, which is basically lifting your feet six inches from the floor and kicking. I also do push ups. Rocky crunches are good. Do not overdo it and put unreal expectations on yourself. I have to work out so much because I am in my 30’s and have given birth. Your metabolism is so high right now, it is unbelievable. If I can have defined abs with working out not even half as much as you, so can you. You are young, and obsessing about how you are going to look in a bathing suit is not good. You gotta do things for you and not for the perception of anyone else. Confidence, no matter what your body looks like, walk it, claim it and love it.
Rememember that what may work for someone else may not work for you. It is a little frightning to think about a 14 year old in a bikini to me(smile) I am 33 and an old woman compared to you. This is important…ALWAYS TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR, sometimes excessive exercise can do more damage than good. You want to look great on the outside, as well as the inside too. I am sure that you always look great. Remember too there is so many eating disorders and obsessive people over doing it. Because they want to fit an image of their favorite singer or model.I say own it and claim it because I am 5′1". I am slim but curvy and I have a DD! I learned to accept that as who I am, after many years of being self concious and bra snapping in school. So as you can guess this question is near and dear to me. Even if do not get perfect results in time. Still know that you did everything that you could and love the reflection in the mirror.
KEEP DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY LIKE YOUR DOING AND BY THE TIME SUMMER GET HERE YOU WILL LOOK GREAT IN A BIKINI. DONT TAKE ANY SHORT CUTS YOU WILL PAY FOR IT IN THE END…..
