How can I get 6 pack abs?

I am very skinny, but I don’t have abs. I lift weights, and play tennis, but I’ve never had abs before. Can anyone suggest a good way to get abs? I want personal opinions, as opposed to a site that makes you pay. I’m sure that I need a healthier diet, and need to exercise a lot, but for people that have abs, or know how to contain them, I would like to know what to do. Thanks.

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
    1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
    weight, lower for overweight).
    2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
    3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

You can do situps, crunches, or get an ab-circle.

    Hope this helps.

i used to have the same problem, the best ab workout that doesnt require a machine are V-ups/Jacknife also planks are really good, what i do is play some cool music then just do situps repeatedly, and before i know it ive been doing situps for 20 minutes straight XD

Tennis doesnt work for six pack. You need to workout program that focus on abs. My boyfriend bought a product and used it. It really works. It includes a healthy eating plan and workout program. Take a look at http://www.diettipsandfitness.com/ and maybe you will like it. There is no other suggestion from eating healthier and exercising.

Everyone has abs no matter how small, so if you’re skinny enough you automatically have a "six-pack". Though they look absolutely disgusting if it’s just a skinny kid with tiny abs. To lose the fat and thus show the abs better, you just need to do cardio. In your case, you don’t need to lose any fat you just need to grow the muscles, so target them. Start doing different types of situps and crunches a night and work your way up. Last summer I worked my way up to about 530 a night and noticed my abs got a lot stronger. (I still had a little fat over them though so it only looked like a six pack in the right light, but the abs were definitely there)

And since you’re so skinny, I would suggest eating foods with TONS of protein….it will greatly help growing muscle but foods with lots of protein usually have lots of calories too, so you usually gain fat and muscle at the same time. But again, in your case that’s good.

There is a lot involved to getting a strong core or six pack abs. First of all you have to start off with a well balanced diet, that means no fast food. However to keep your temptations away you can have 2 meals a week where you can feel free to eat whatever you want. You mentioned already that you are skinny, so in your shoes I would pick up a whey protein supplement at Wal-mart or any pharmacy. Protein is key in gaining muscle.
Secondly, I suggest doing an ab workout routine every second day that targets all the different muscle areas in the abdomen. It is important to do the routine only every second day so you give your muscles time to recover. If you neglect this step it will only take longer for you to see the desired results. Also, I recommend on changing or modifying your routine every three weeks so you are not at risk of hitting a plateau (a stage where you see signs of success but are unable to continue with your results). This is caused when your body getting used to the workout you are performing. It is also important to note that you should consume your whey protein almost immediately after your workout to obtain the best results.
Lastly, despite that fact that you are skinny I recommend you get your cardio in as well. I suggest jogging, riding a stationary bike, etc on your off days for half hour to 45 minutes. After all it’s no point in having a six pack if it is being covered by body fat.
Well if you follow my advice and stay committed you should be seeing results in 8 weeks and by the twelfth week you will see extraordinary results. Also if you are really serious about getting in shape and you have the dedication, time, and money may i recommend P90X. There have been people who were terribly out of shape and got extraordinary results with that program. I will also post a you video link to a great ab workout i found on youtube. Best of luck and remember you can do it, you just have to want it bad enough!!
