focus more on less fat and more protein. meats like fish and chicken are great examples. calories is essential as well but you could only eat about 1000 calories in a day by eating a burger with fries and soda and have almost 100g of fat go right into your body. obviously not good. keep drinking water and if you want, buy some protein powder or power bars when you work out. for cardio, run like 3 times a day for as much as you can and its better to switch your speeds while you run. example, start jogging, then sprint, then walk, then sprint, then jog, then walk then jog. keep your body having to do work the whole time so it doesnt get used to just jogging. good luck.
Only thing required is loads of discipline to keep up the workout and extra protein to build the muscle.
