I’ve finally graduated from Fruit of the Looms and went to buy some real underwear today. All the underwear packages had model-looking guys with shaved bodies on them with six-pack abs. Their packaging looked like the cover of a gay porn (not that I’ve bought any of that!). What gives? Do gay men moreso buy expensive underwear? Why not put someone who looks like Captain Lou Albano on the cover?

I am 13 years old. I weigh 155 pounds which i think is 60-75 kg but I’m not positive. I have noticeable hips. I Wear 32inch waist Levi jeans which are loose fit (the ones with the tannish tag that have the red picture and label on them). They still feel kind of tight. I’m 5′5" tall. I have a fat stomach but not extremely fat. When I sit in this computer chair for a while there are red marks on my stomach from fat rubbing together. I really rather not purchase any workout items because I heard they’re all bs ripoffs but if there are any that are worth buying than I might buy it. Also I have very fat thighs(quadrocepts) and calfs. I could use any help on how to lose fat on those areas too. My primary goal is to lose fat. My Secondary goal is to noticeably gain muscle. I know it will take time to do this, buy what exercises should I do? I mainly want to workout my upper body. I have the bowflex would that help me gain muscle? Which workouts should I do and how many sets and reps? For the abs I know I have to loose fat so they’ll will show so Im going to run and swim and watch what I eat. I really want to build on my ab muscles but I can never do it because of back pain by the time I do my 15th rep or so. Today I did 500 hundred abdominal exercises divided into:
300 sit ups
200 leg raises
My doubt is if 500 abdominal exercises daily are enough for that area. I don’t feel any sore since I’ve been doing these exercises for 7 months or so (during a weight loss process). I can go for more than that ,but I also run 1 hour daily ,do a little weight lifting only for biceps, and push ups. Even if I don’t feel any sore I feel somewhat tired. Should I keep doing that or should I go for around 1000 (which I’ve done before) and most important: Are 500 enough?

I run for exercise 3 mornings a week and I also do abdominal exercises after running. I have recently realised the benefits of ‘belly breathing,’ both when running and generally, but I’m wondering if strengthening my abdominal muscles too much may reduce its efficiency.

Hey fitness people! Does anyone have some examples of abdominal exercises appropriate for people who are obese? Many of the ab exercises I see are a challenge because of the paunch I already have.
I often lay on the floor and lift my feet, but the sit ups are hard as my fat gut gets in the way.

Whenever i do crunches my back starts hurting a lot (about after 20 crunches) way before i start have a good workout. When i do transverses ab exercises my back seems fine, also leg lifts. I used to do a lot of sit ups. My back usually is fine its just when i do abdominal exercises.

I am looking for new ideas on exercising,the lower abdominal area! Especially After having two c-sections it is a trouble spot! Any ladies,who have had children by abdominal surgery(c-section) you know that pouch that is so hard to get rid of? It is quite frustrating! I wish I could just get plastic surgery to remove it. Unfortunately,I can not at this time. However, my second C-section was a disaster. It was an emergency section,(as well as the first) but the doctor really hacked my stomach the second time around,compared to my first incision. The second one was a much bigger incision and much to far up from the first. Anyhow, I would love to hear of any (lower) or regular abdominal exercises.
